How to get the e-VOA
- Go to the official site onlyIndonesia's e-Visa site is evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Government sites end in .go.id; anything else is an agent or a copycat.
- Apply a few days before you flyYou'll need your passport (valid at least 6 months), a photo and a card. unverified
- Save the approvalScreenshot it and keep a PDF offline.
- Use the autogates on arrivalWith an e-VOA and an e-passport (every current Aussie passport is one), you can skip the counter queue. See the arrivals map
Do I need an agent?
No. The official site is a standard online form. Agents charge a service fee on top of the Rp 500,000. They suit people who can't use the official site (for example if it rejects your card), not most Aussies.
The other two arrival forms
- All Indonesia arrival card: free, online, within 3 days of landing. Customs scans its QR code. (Bali Holiday Secrets, checked 2026-10-25)
- Bali tourist levy: Rp 150,000, paid once per trip online. It's required by Bali's provincial government but rarely checked. What it is and whether to bother
Staying longer than 60 days?
The e-VOA covers 30 days plus one 30-day extension. Longer stays need a different visa, usually through an agent. unverified
